Who doesn’t know what a PC is? Personal Computers are one of the most defining features of our time. Machines that are great for work, for fun and for studying. But what PC really is? The Wiki says it’s a “multi-purpose electronic computer whose size, capabilities and price make it feasible for individual use”. But it gets better: “Personal Computers are intended to be operated directly by an end-user, rather than by a computer expert or technician”. Computers were originally invented to “compute” and solve complex mathematical problems. Today, everything is different and their original purpose is actually the least important one. Instead, they are used for gathering data (internet), entertainment (video games, movies, music, etc) and work. Since the early 1990s, Microsoft operating systems and Intel hardware have dominated the PC market. There are alternatives to Microsoft Windows operating system but they still occupy a minority share of the industry. These include Apple's iOS and free open-source operating systems (e.g. Linux and Chrome OS).Turn-based tactics (TBT) also known as tactical turn-based (or TTB), is a distinct genre of strategy video games. Unlike turn-based strategy games, TBTs focus more on operational warfare and military tactics during small-scale engagements with the enemy. In TBT players have to complete their objectives by using the limited forces provided to them, and by the application of realistic military tactics and operations. The gameplay of a TBT heavily contrasts with the RTT genre because of a stop-action mechanics. TBT’s tactical focus, emphasis on executing intricate plans and comparatively short risk/reward cycle can provide a more immediate, intense, and careful experience for any gamer. The best turn-based tactics of all time include such titles as Jagged Alliance, Silent Storm, UFO, Star Wars Tactics, Blood Bowl, XCOM, and Xenonauts. What game we’re talking about? Well, take a wild guess! Hitman is a stealth video game series developed by the IO Interactive. The story revolves around Agent 47 (usually referred to as “47” or “Mr. 47”), a genetically engineered assassin, whose flawless record places him in high demand. The core objective of every level is to kill an assigned target (and sometimes also additional targets). In most cases, Hitman games allow the player many different options to accomplish their objective. Players can perform precise assassinations or slaughter mindlessly but the game tends to reward a subtle approach. 47 can also wear a variety of disguises (police officers, firemen, waiters, technicians, and so on) to his fool enemies and gain access to many otherwise restricted areas. The focus of Hitman is not hiding in the shadows, but rather blending in amongst enemies. Previously published by Eidos Interactive, and currently published by Square Enix, the Hitman series is available on Microsoft Windows as well as several video game consoles, including the Xbox, PlayStation, and GameCube. The original game series has also expanded into a novelization, Hitman: Enemy Within, followed by two film adaptations (in 2007 and 2015), which are loosely based on the games’ storyline. Hitman is one of the most iconic video game franchises of all time. Omitting this title is unforgivable so grab your own copy right now!Hide
