Dungeon crawler is a subgenre of role-playing video games, most often set in fantasy world. In a typical dungeon crawler, players must navigate through a dungeon, maze or cave (hence the name), battle various enemies, and loot any treasure they can find along the way. Due to genre’s potential for simplicity and small expectations most players have for logical consistency, dungeon crawlers are pretty popular among gamers.
